21st-Nov-2008 08:38 pm - Help!
Ok, so everytime I attempt to start WoW it freezes and Crashes my computer. I'm not sure why. It used to be that it would freeze and crash my comp only if WoW sat idel for a long time - and this only happened once in a while and was never a big deal, jus restart and everything would be fine. But now I havn't been able to log in in the last two days! it just crashes everytime? Anyone else had this happen? its only happening with WoW, nothing else. Help!
21st-Nov-2008 08:23 pm - Guild Help?
Hey, I have my guild, but I need help with inviting my alt, can i get somebody to log in and join my guild and i'll promote you so you can invite my alt?

Server Lightbringer, thanks!
21st-Nov-2008 08:04 pm - Dawnbringer
Ladies: I've decided to move to Dawnbringer under the free transfer. The characters moving are Tagarel (74 nelf cat druid) and Zekara (28 human warrior). I'll be looking for a friendly guild or guilds for them both - casual raiding for Tagarel, possibly a separate levelling guild for Zekara. I suffer from a lot of lag, which I know is a problem, but plan on moving Jan 1 or so, and will hopefully stop having that problem then - Comcast will still be Comcast, of course, but I think the real problem is crap wiring/crap landlord - and if Comcast keeps sucking post-move, I'll look into Verizon DSL.

So any ladies or guilds on Dawnbringer I should be looking up? Give me a shout!
21st-Nov-2008 04:47 pm - A note to you little Death Knights.
Dear Death Knights:

I leveled my priest to 58 just so I could be around to ride the wave of leveling you guys were doing AND provide a service with my priest. I plan to repeat it with my druid, who is sitting at 54 right now.

However, once I set myself DND, that's it. I'm done. I'm doing some other things for quests. Stop sending me tells. If I tell you I am set DND for a reason, do not say, "Well, that's good for you" and then expect me to drop what I'm doing and want to heal for you. It's going to get you a one way ticket to my ignore list-- and honey, ther are not a lot of healers doing what I'm doing right now. This is a kindness.

Don't fuck it up.

Love,
Yemaya, your holy priest.
21st-Nov-2008 03:38 am - Hunter macro question
Ive been trying to figure this out, and either im doing it wrong or you cant do it. I want my wolf to cast Call of the Wild only when I tell him to, because if its on auto cast he does it when I dont need it. Is there a way to make a macro for this so he does it say, on bosses, or do I have to put it on the pet bar and click it? : (
21st-Nov-2008 04:13 pm - Hello, ladies.
I've come across some neat discoveries regarding paladin tanking and threat rotations that I thought I'd share..I got tired of questing today so I wanted to give my mouse a break and just type up something. Plus I'm super hungry and writing takes my mind off of it. Except when I write about being hungry...GAH.

ANYWAY.

Here we go! )
21st-Nov-2008 02:22 pm - never thought i would make a dwarf

21st-Nov-2008 03:16 pm - Hey PitBull, what gives?!
In an attempt to multibox, I started a new account and a new char. Everything is fine except I cannot for the life of me find the portrait options in the PitBull menu! I've been looking for twenty minutes now - I know where they are, they don't exist! D: Any help?

ETA: On my regular account, there is an options titled "portraits" under Player>Other. On the new account there isn't. :/
21st-Nov-2008 03:25 pm - Pally stats?
I know paladins were heavily reworked for WotLK, and I'll admit I'm pretty confused. I'm leveling a little tankadin, and he's going pretty fast. I've heard from other pally tanks that the necessary stats have changed entirely from the way it was in TBC and basically I have no idea what I should be stacking. It used to be that a pally tank should grab a spell dmg (now spell power, I guess) weapon for scaling holy based damage, right? But I've heard that pally abilities now scale with attack power and strength?

Augh, I'm lost, and I've had a bit of trouble finding an up-to-date guide on this stuff. If anyone has any pointers and/or links to guides I (and my fledgling pally tank) would be very greatful.

Thanks in advance!
21st-Nov-2008 04:56 pm - Advice for a healing paladin.
Hey, everybody.

I was just wanting to make a generic post on some advice for Holy paladins healing through level 80 heroics.

I've done the heroic versions of--so far--Utgarde Pinnacle, Azjol-Nerub, The Violet Hold, Halls of Lightning, and Gundrak. I'm enjoying these greatly because they're a challenge and they're fun and story-heavy and yay! But I will admit that I feel a bit hurt when I go from wiping a few times getting through one heroic, then watching the same group with a priest or a shaman go through and it becomes easy as pie. I'm 95% sure that I need more practice, anyway; I've levelled in the Holy tree since my first talent point, but transferring from BC-healing to Wrath-healing is a bit of a process. I feel completely gimped not being able to heal as well as I used to, or, at the very least, not as well as my guildmates.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Duskwood&n=Nessaja

That be my armory link. I've, of course, only been able to upgrade what drops or what people are able to craft. I would be happy to take more advice on what I should be stacking now. I know Intellect got a huge boost, so I'm wondering if I should start gemming it. (I also am aware I have one gem slot open; I'm waiting on my personal jewelcrafter to come online and send it to me. ^_^; lol) While I've been able to get my groups through all the heroics we've done, it's taken some sludging through and I'm constantly a bit worried about the repair bills they're going through due to what I think is just me. Late last night, we tried Azjol-Nerub one last time and I couldn't get us past the first boss; that also might have been since it was 1:00a and we were all exhausted, but it's gotten me thinking ever since. WTB more AoE healing, although Beacon of Light is pretty darn helpful.

The teal-deer version - I would love for some advice from my fellow holy pallies. ^_^ Especially those who've been running heroics and possibly even Naxx, to let me know how they've been doing things. Even some forums or other links would be amazing; I've been scanning EJ and the WoW forums, but others would be awesome.

Thanks so much ahead of time!

O cat,
Pez

What would you say is the hardest 5-man dungeon to heal?

For me it was Sethekk Halls.

21st-Nov-2008 02:39 pm - WoW=MoM upside down
My mom posted that to my blog earlier and it made me laugh.

So I wanted to know, how many of you ladies are juggling Mommyhood and Wowness?

Sharing is caring, lol I have a 20 month old baby boy who when we're not playing loves to pull the big chair beside mommy and watch, and has often times fallen asleep on my shoulder while watching. When I started playing WoW I joined a guild that was mainly younger players who couldn't understand that, yeah, when kiddo calls, I drop WoW and run. Diapers, bottles, paccys, whatever always came before WoW. But luckily I am in a guild that understands and will often wait on me (in raids and such), plus my boyfriend (RL & WoW) adores my son and knows when he hears him on voice chat while we're questing saying MA MA! that it's time for me to take a break.

There used to be a few negative comments, "OMG Your a bad mother playing WoW instead of playing with your son" (yeah whatever...)
Or
*hears crying over vent* Gah Go Lala.. take care of your kid and we'll wait AGAIN!..

/gquit..

But anyways, just rambling. :) Anyone else a Proud WoW Mom? And I am seriously thinking about making a WoW Mom Icon lol, cause WoW=MoM upside down! lol
21st-Nov-2008 01:33 pm - New hit cap for warlocks
What is the warlock hit cap at level 80 (WITHOUT suppression or cataclysm)?

I've heard a whole range of numbers: everything from 117 to 446, with very little explanation or reasoning for any of it. So does anybody have any reliable numbers with actual math or blue posts to back them up? I'm getting frustrated with rifling through idiotic/confusing forum posts XD Thanks!
21st-Nov-2008 03:13 pm - Name queston
Hey, I'm about to transfer my main to Lightbringer because I have several characters there and all my friends play there. My question is, my main is Alliance and after doing a search I saw there was a Horde character with the same name. On the WoW site it says that if when you transfer if there is already somebody playing with your name you have to change but will I still have to change it if they are Horde?

Help :)
21st-Nov-2008 10:34 am - Question/Pet Peeve
I'm currently revered with the exodar, and I'm looking for a way to get exalted so that I can get some more mounts.  What's the best way to grind that rep?  Going to the starting zones and doing those quests (if that's even possible)?

Peeve:  Is it just me, or is it practically impossible for a mage (or caster in general) to kill a deathknight their level?
21st-Nov-2008 12:22 pm - Lava Burst / Elemental Shaman / Unrelated Question
Those of you who have it, how do you like Lava Burst and what sort of spell rotation are you using with it?

Plus, I could use some spec insight. Currently (at 71) I'm rolling with this build. Now, since Lava Burst has an 8 second cooldown should I bother with more points in Reverberation? I was planning to go into Elemental Weapons in Enhancement and Lava Flows if Lava Burst is all that. Although, I suppose that would still leave me enough points to go 4/5 Reverberation if I didn't get anything new. So, basically the build at 80 would look like this. Good, bad, ugly?

Totally unrelated, is it possible to get the quest achievement for Shadowmoon Valley done if you never aligned yourself with Aldor/Scryer? There's apparently 0 wiggle room for it in Nagrand, that's for sure.
21st-Nov-2008 01:10 pm - (( Writing Fun )) Touch of the Banshee
Don't know if any of you all have read this in the Ebon Hold, but there's a book hidden on a shelf called "Touch of the Banshee" -- it's pretty much a Scourge romance novel that borders on Scourge erotica.

I'll post the text below, but I'm mainly posting this (as I did on my server's forum) as a writing exercise for people to enjoy reading and creating either later sections in the book for everyone's reading fun or other snippets from other Scourge books of purple prose.

Skor'zad nervously peered around the corner of the column. As he has planned, he saw her floating there, alone in her chamber. Had he made the right decision, visiting the banshee's private chamber so late at night? The necromancers would surely put him back into the ground if he was discovered. What's worse, he didn't even know if his feelings were requited, and Madame Sidnari was known for her short temper.

What few doubts the zombie had were quickly tossed aside once he caught a full glimpse of her beauty. Her distinctly elven features - a reminder of her form in a past life - were now only enhanced by the oozing wounds and scabs that dotted her face. Purple, almost translucent skin was frugally covered by necrotic wrappings that hugged her waifish figure. Cold flesh neatly fused with the ephemeral as her legless torso sat upon a bluish sphere of energy, drifting a few inches above the cold granite floor. Skor'zad allowed himself to relax a bit and wiped the sweat and ichor that dripped alternatingly from his prominent brow.

Seemingly unaware of his presence, she glided to the only window in the room and looked out upon the battlefield. Desolation stretched out before her. Not six hours ago has the shrill cries of human children pierced the air, but now... only the sweet silence of death.

The wind caught her hair now, playfully flipping the worm-like tangles around her hollowed-out eye sockets. Skor'zad, suddenly aware that he was leaning forward with lust, shrank back behind the column, terrified that the Dark Wailer might have seen him. She had indeed seen him - but he had no reason to fear.

"Skor'zad," she said. "I've been waiting for you. You fought well today." The banshee glanced coyly over her rotting right soldier, allowing her wrappings to loosen ever so slightly. "It's time you... collected your reward."

*The next few pages seem to be stuck together.*
21st-Nov-2008 01:01 pm - Tailor Gear Question!
I have my tailoring to 415 and I can make all the special cloth now and I was wondering, for a raiding fire mage...which set will be my tailored gear? o.0 Usually this would be no problem at all but, I know spirit is a lot more important with this expansion so, I'm kind of lost. I was a spellfire tailor in BC so common sense would tell me spellweave would be the way to go but, again, the stats have me a bit confused. Isn't Hit more important than Haste? or will I get enough hit on other gear to make up for it? : / I'm so confused. I'm level 74 right now but I'd like to start getting my cloth made asap.
So:
Spellweave Robe  or Ebonweave Robe?

Also,
Which spec will you other mage ladies go? I'm deffinately going back to arcane/fire..being frost is just not for me but by God it makes leveling easier. haha.

As always, I appreciate the help and I hope all of you are enjoying northrend!  They put so much work into it..the music, land scape, creatures...everything is fantastic! <3

21st-Nov-2008 10:48 am - A spec dilemma.
So I've been Marks since 70, when i tried it and fell in love with it. I love Silencing shot, and I'm infatuated with Chimera Shot.

However, for leveling, I seem to be very squishy...I die....a LOT. My pet? dies even more- even with a tenacity pet at my sides at all time (Warp Stalker ftw.) i'm 73, about to hit 74, but I could be doing better if i didn't DIE SO MUCH.

So I'm torn- I'm thinking I should respec to BM (even though i LOATHE that spec and 80% of the asshats who are that spec) because I'm lacking the survivability.

I've played BM before- played it from the beginning to 70.

Here's the build I'm looking at until I hit 80

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cVbhztxRVuoektce0b

And this is my pet's spec if you're wondering:
http://www.wowhead.com/?petcalc=cmzGorM00z

So i guess my question is, will leveling be a lot easier as BM? Should I even bother? And if I do, is there an exotic pet that will be even better to have as a leveling buddy? I've been lagging behind, and I am pretty sure it's because I'm squishy. I get the feeling MM is the "caster" spec of hunters.

21st-Nov-2008 10:50 am - The Ego of Male Warriors
My main is an undead warrior. )

So I have to ask you ladies is this typical across the board? have you ladies noticed other males having ego issues when they decide to roll a warrior? Have you noticed people changing when they decide to play a warrior?
